I was trying to marry my new bluray drive to my new console and ended up bricking my console I think. I had to go into Factory Service Mode to do this and I accidentally tried updating the ps3 in that and so now I just get a red screen with different languages. Not sure if it is bricked but I am guessing that it most likely is. I do still have my original hex dump of the nor chip though so would it be possible to use that dump to fix the ps3?

I remember i had that happen to one of my old ps3’s i dont think its bricked. I don’t remember what i did to fix my issue becuase it was years ago. but you can try reinstalling whatever ofw or cfw your running using safe mode see if that helps.

And you should also be able to reflash the nor if you have a e3 flasher, progskeet, or teensy board and that should fix it but you will loose any savegames and everything you have installed since you made the dump
