Hacking PS3 4.81 exploit to be released by Christmas

Just dropping by to say that escortdew and his team have made enough progress in their project to give a release date. Escortdew is currently saying we should be expecting a release by Christmas or maybe sooner.
I'm not able to post the link for the page on psxhax, but if you search for "PS3 Webkit Exploit Esc0rtd3w" it should come up; page 38 of the comment section is where he posts the announcement.

From the top of my head, I remember him releasing a OFW Bubblemaker for DTU. I can't remember if he has developed other stuff.

i mostly do the NoPSN patches for apps. I have released several PS3 related things on my github https://github.com/esc0rtd3w ....nothing too groundbreaking...just doing what i can, and its fun

Highly unlikely, no one wants to write for Cell architecture, which is why our emulator list blows on this console.
And yeah, it's dumb that there's a prerequisite like that. The WiiU version of Netflix doesn't even need to be on the latest version to work, but the app sucks and crashes all the time so you have some of column A and column B

No offense but I'm not the most tech savy person on the site to know what it means, but from what you saying is that emulators aren't as high for ps3 cause of how is built then okay.

funny enough, most of those PS3 apps like Netflix, Hulu, etc have Wii, WiiU, NDS, XBOX360, PS4, XB1 settings and code in the javascript usually or EBOOT.

emulators and other homebrew should be workable on (hopefully) all consoles from exploit.....3xxx and 4xxx may need extra work.

Regardless of having emulators, I was excited to see the grill model get some love for homebrew. Though from what I was just told a post ago, is not very much love which could explain why it taken this long for anything to turn up. I was glad someone taken a crack at it.
