Hacking PS1 games as pkg files?

I was thinking that since PS1 games are bought off of the PSN, that they would work similarly to PSN games and could be installed as pkg files, but seeing how I haven't seen any PS1 game pkgs, I'm assuming it doesn't work like that.

Is there any news on getting psn ps1 games working? And do you think it will be possible to inject other ps1 games into downloaded ps1 games, like injected roms into wads?

Decoding PSN package files isn't complete but when/if it happens, yes, that's likely to happen.

As for re-writing games to work, I highly doubt it.
