Hacking Project Zero / Fatal Frame - Costume swap?

So after Project Zero Maiden of Black Water got localized we got censorship, they replaced the special bikini costumes with Nintendo costumes. I would love to play it in its original form, do you think it's possible to swap the costumes back to the original stuff since modding is now available? Has anyone tried this out yet?

Maybe it's simple. I have the game here. I only would need a japanese copy and could give it a shot. Any tips how to extract/mod a Wii U game? Is it the same like in Smash or Mario Kart?

There is thread here which covers some of the information about getting into the files etc. It's unbelievably fiddly btw.

Japanese version of the game is 'out there'.
