Gaming Professor Layton = Stupid Puzzles

thats the one with the broken piece of paper right? i remember that, felt like one of the easiest they had so far.
wait till you get the one with the black and white tiles where they ask you to shift the the black to white ratio.
That was dumb, any answer would have worked for that one.

nah only a single one worked and it was stupid.

anyway, next thing that completely pissed me of were the ruins.
it just kept on repeating and repeating the same annoying crap. @@

and you have to only move 2 chips to make it so each row, column and diagonal row equal 15.

This game is initially written in Japanese. It may be a problem in translation.

"Move" would seem incorrect in English, as you are actually moving more chips than just 2; the chips you push move too.

Maybe "touch" would have been better.

i.e. by touching 2 chips only, make it so each row, column and diagonal row equal 15...

The puzzle may make more sense in Japanese language (if there is a word like 'move' that means 'touch+move')... but I don't this, as I don't speak Japanese.

the puzzle clearly mentions that replacing one chip with another may not be the only way to move chips. it said so on the top screen from the very beginning.
i'd be more annoyed about that kind of riddle if 999 didnt bashed it into the player that the key is to move the 5 to the center...

Another one thats actually stupid is the one with arthurs blade (81)
the glas image of the yellow sword was supposed to be surrounded by more colorful glas.
however, the answer said that transparent glas counts as one color. awsm. not that i didnt knew there was a chance for that, however there was no way to know if colorless is allowed as a color or not.

those are really the dumb ones. the ones where you clearly see a catch, but theres no way of knowing if that catch is supposed to trick the player into giving the wrong answer, or if the player is initially not meant to realize the catch exists and thus, realizing its there, would finally be able to give the right answer.

I was fine with the chip one (and most others) but hated puzzle 113. Even after reading all hints and eventually guessing correctly, I had no idea what they were talking about. Eventually looked it up to find out how I was supposed to think through it. I found this on IGN, ugh. No way would I have known that.
