ROM Hack problems with pokemon hacks in gba vc

so some hacks won't work for me they end up crashing on the title screen i tried the hack im having an issue with in muitble emulators and only vba boots it i guess the guy wants the hack to only work on vba thats very dumb

It was (or maybe on Windows it still is) the most used emulator, why would it be dumb?

The last official version was in 2004 (that's 3 years after the launch of the console) and it's not terribly accurate to the original, but it's the most used... this is the same problem nes homebrewers had with Nesticle users...
