Gaming Problem With SSBB

Hi everyone,

I recently downloaded Super Smash Brothers Brawl, i used this tutorial to burn it on a single layer disc, also regionfrii'd it (To make it PAL), Brickblocked it, and burned it on a DVD-R. The game loads, but when i choose Begin, i get a black screen...And nothing happens. The connection gets lost with the wiimote and thats it. I also waited for a really long time, still nothing. I tried setting it to 60hz, 50hz , i tried changing the screen type (Widesreen), i treid setting the syste language to english but it is still the same! Can someone help me?

P.S. Oh, i have an Argon 1.8. and Wii firmware is 3.2E

i have the same problem i have wii firmawre 3.2E
pal wii and its 50 hertz and i have wiikey latest firmware still black any ideas?
i burned it with dvd9 with layerbreak and a good dl disc

and i downloaded the hug 7.8 gig iso or what it was ^^
on a verbatim dvd-r dl disc

hmmm, sorry im not sure what the problem could be.

But on a side note, my roomate is also about to have a problem with Brawl because I burned a copy of Catz 2 and labled it "brawl" and left it near the wii.

Had the same problem, fixed it by applying a patch called Super.Smash.Bros.Brawl.WII.NTSC.TO.PAL.UPDATES.REMOVED.PPF.PATCH

You'll find it on piratebay. I think it will only work with the wiizard DVD9 version though.. Let me know if it helped.

i have hard tim finding a guide that i can use that version from wizard and burn it on a dvd dl

Did you get a successful confirmation when you patched?

Had the same problem, fixed it by applying a patch called Super.Smash.Bros.Brawl.WII.NTSC.TO.PAL.UPDATES.REMOVED.PPF.PATCH

It doesn't work..

This time, when i click the disc channel, i get a black screen, wich tells me to remove the disc and turn my Wii off. When i don't remove it and reset the Wii it says that data is damaged.....Someone Please help me i am dying to play Brawl! Isn't there another moethod of solving this?

tools--> settings--> write and layer break for DL media to 2084960 ?

That, and the patch I mentioned is what I did... Oh, and I have a quality DL DVD burned at 2,4x...

And about the patching.. just use the program that follows with the patch. Really easy.

I did the patch with the program. i'm not stupid. also, i am talking about a SINGLE Layer DVD5 Version. Not the double layer version.

and the Freeloader
and when i use the freeloader and pop in my brawl same thing black screen no uppdate thingi and my wiimote dies

you dont do wiifiend's initial fix anymore. the first post has been updated with an easier patch by vv_ and abc99. check your link again in post #1 or here

How do you apply the patch and with wich program? I have read the readme file but i don't understand!

the patch by abc99 was made with xdelta, it doesnt have a user interface but rather the dos looking command line
it automates the scrubbing without wiiscrubber and vv_'s fst.bin movie fix patch, without wiiscrubber and trucha

since you use wiiscrubber and trucha, it will be easier if you followed these steps

So what i basically do is :

1. Srub the ISO
2. Apply the patch with Trucha Signer
3. Burn
4. Freeloader
5. Play?

If this is the correct method i will do it

something must have kept you busy because you are interested but i dont know how you keep pushing back burning off ssbb, lol..

im not sure if freeloader by it self will work. see here actually for a new ssbb dvd5 pal guide. it has extra steps on regionfrii, remove 001 error, and update fix. just follow his guide all the issues are taken care of and then some
