Lali ho ho ho, one month til Christmas!
I'm trying to update my already hacked SNES Mini, replace a couple of games that don't work. Thing is Hackchi doesn't seem to recognise that my SNES is plugged in to USB. When I plug it in my flatmate's laptop makes the noise to indicate something went into the USB port but nothing ever shows. I'm trying to follow a tutorial showing how to use WinSCP to save the games already on the machine as I deleted the ROM backups after the last session, so if I sync new games to the SNES now it'll lose all the ones already installed and presumably my save data as well. But it just says it's offline and won't show any option for it in the menu.
Basically, how do I add more games to an already hacked SNES Mini without erasing what's already there? Am I missing a driver or something? Hackchi doesn't recognise the system to bring up the game list, the laptop doesn't know it exists, I've tried with other USB cables and ports to no avail. Suggestions welcomed.
