Hacking Problem with MPlayer Wii 0.07

That's why I'm sticking with DOLs for now until I am sufficiently protected against bad wads and banner bricks!

Still don't to be harsh on him buddy, his wii is bricked and he doesn't need kicking when he's down!

Yeah I already feel horrible for falling for such a stupid trick. I'm fairly new to the scene and wouldn't expect people out there with just intention to do harm. My Wii is stuck at the screen whatever I do, and I just don't know what to do.

There isn't anything you can do without a modchip...

indeed he posted a channel for wiisx and it bricked my wii lucky i had starfall and the nessecari patches installed and i warned you all the guy has just 1 channel that bricks your wii an he sais on all topics where they ask for a wad he renemes it and uploaded it so that it will brick your wii ...

did you have any starfall patches installed (Sure you said No)
Do you have the TP Hack?

Exactly "why" aren't people "preparing for bricks" Don't you want your wii (safe) obviously not if you simply jump into it....

If someone asked you to jump off a cliff? would you go ahead knowing of the danger?

I too have unfortunately received "The system files are corrupted" screen right after the Health screen on my Wii. I installed that terrible (wrong) wad and I tried following step 2 of the link posted above.

I placed Zelda into the Wii and put a GC controller into slot 1, and held Y when booting up the Wii. An SD card with the boot.dol of WAD Manager 1.3 sits on the root of the card and I'm pretty sure my firmware is 3.2U. Nothing happens though when the Wii boots up, and I reach the Health screen soon to be followed by the System files corrupted screen again.

Is there anything else I can do?

EDIT: Ah, didn't have Starfall and do whatever was in Step 1. Any alternatives? Much appreciated.

I have the 3.3U, fairly sure. I remember having to download the new Twilight Princess hack for this work around.

I didn't get a chance to install starfall, was planning to do it today as well.

I do have the TP Hack saved on there with a NTSC copy of the game at my disposal.

nope you need a modchip to boot original or a backup zelda otherwise you need starfall with the correct patches installed otherwie your screwed ! the savemiifrii doesnt boot the original or backup zelda

Only way for you to recover, is a Modchip, or borrow a mates modded drive.... only way!!!
then use pad or dance mat savemiifrii and autoboot your zelda/ then remove the wad with wadmanagers .dol in root of SD Card. only way as you dont have trucha features.

Just think this has given you the parogative to go get a hard mod

Modchipcentral is a reliable place to buy from if you live in the US. It's based in Canada, but that's about the closest you're going to get to the US. Get a Wiikey 2 presoldered onto a Wii-Clip so you don't have to use the soldering iron!

A quick question.

Even though my Wii cannot get to the Channel screen due to the "Corrupted system files" screen that locks up the Wii, with the installation of the Wiikey 2 I'll be able to autoboot the .iso to get around it?

Looking on the website and the official GBAtemp review of Wiikey 1, you'll have to have access to the channel screen to reach the disc channel...

Correct, a modchip is you're only option (any modchip can autoboot, just the iso needs to be patched)
