Hi folks,
I'm having an issue booting Wii ISO's from my USB flash drive on my soft modded Nintendo Wii.
HARDWARE INFORMATION:
- Wii system version: 4.3U
- PNY 64GB USB flash drive
- Windows 8 PC
To reiterate, my console has been successfully 'hacked'. It currently has the following channels:
1). WiiFlow,
2). Configurable USB,
3). USB Loader GX,
4). NeoGamma,
5). The Homebrew Channel,
6). Backup HBC
...and other miscellaneous channels such as SNES9XGX, VBAGX.. which work fine, btw.
How I added ISO's to my Flash Drive:
1. Downloaded and installed WBFS Manager 3.0
2. Using WBFS Manager 3.0 I formatted my 64GB flash drive to WBFS.
3. I then browsed my computer, selected 2 ISOs (i.e. Super Mario Galaxy and Mario Party 9), and added them to the drive.
4. I waited a few minutes and received a success completion message,
Booting from the USB Flash Drive:
1. I plugged my USB flash drive into the 2nd USB slot (the one closest to the wall/side of the Wii.)
2. The SD card containing all the apps associated with my homebrew is also inserted into the Wii.
3. I select "WiiFlow" from the channel >> Start >> "Super Mario Galaxy" >> Play
4. Normally, you'd expect the game to play. Instead, the screen goes black, the system is now unresponsive and I have to press and hold the power button to turn it off then back on.
I have attached a screenshot of my WiiFlow settings.
Using the other loaders:
Configurable USB, USB Loader GX and NeoGamma are worse. They don't even detect my USB flash drive and simply 'freeze' during the detection process. I have tried pulling the USB out of my system and the aforementioned loaders begin to proceed with their detection countdown.
Any thoughts or suggestions? Please be aware that I'm new to all this (Newbie) and may need elementary guidance on this subject. Thanks for reading!
