So, in theory, couldn't a powerful enough android emulate the Switch OS?
And games could be qued up from a directory in the Android OS?
Also, Joycons could be linked by some special software or something, idk.

I haven't and probably never will own a Switch, so I dunno how the thing even works and operates. But upon inspection, it just looks like a high quality tablet, and the OS pretty much is just Nintendo's take of an Android OS.

Again, this could just be me being a big dummy, but I thought it was at least an interesting idea.
The switch OS is completly custom, it's not even based on android, they just copied the UI.
Edit: it's not even based on linux, appearently it's based on freeBSD and it has some android frameworks, but it's not android

It's not based on freeBSD, it's based on 3DS's OS. It only uses freeBSD for some network functions iirc.

I don't why I even bother posting. lol This is why I left in the first place.
But hey, that's what I get for having a question/opinion on the internet.

You get answers. And even you stated that this is probably a dumb idea yourself. So, why are you salty again? You mostly got what you expected.

Maybe "But a damn Nintendo Switch u peasent"
And "probably a dumb idea...yeah it is"

I was fully aware that it might have been a dumb question, but I don't need to be reminded of it. It's pretty clear.
Also, the first comment doesn't even have anything to do with my question.
I simply had an idea I thought was a bit interesting, and I almost always get backlash for it. It's pretty annoying.
I mean, at least explain why it wouldn't work, instead of just giving me sarcasm or a one word answer.
So yeah, I think it's justified...

Pretty much I only got actually information from two people.

Chill out, he was just wondering, there's no need to assoult him like he was a criminal, this forum is made also for questions may these be dumb or nonsense.. If his idea makes no sense well just tell him instead of picking up a fight with someone who only has a doubt... And btw what he says is clearly impossible in the short term, but who knows in 3-5 years so just shut up

Some devs hat a small disscusison on twitter about how usefull and possible it is to get the switch kernel running on a nvidia shield.
It could maybe be helpfull for better debugging via jtag, but besides of that, it should be not worth the much work to get it maybe running was the conclusion, if I remeber it correctly. Maybe I will find the tweets.

Edit:
It was not the shild, was the TX1 dev board:
