Hardware Price Stability of Special Editions?

Hi,

I'm hopefully getting a MH N3DS XL but I'm already thinking about selling it in future if Nintendo anounces a new Handheld too soon. At the moment the Special Editions are pretty high in demand. Is is just hype or are Special Editions good investment?

Zelda series will likely hold a higher value due to popularity of the series. It really just depends on how much someone else wants it like anything in the world. There were a lot of different special editions of the original and I can see the same trend for the N3DS. With the birth of faceplates it's hard to tell really. The XL's will be the ones people may want a specific design on more than others, but like I mentioned they will probably be churning out special edition XL's left and right since there are no faceplates for it.
