Prevent your username from being your password

When I signed up I used my username as my password because it's easy to remember. I don't care if this account gets hacked but it seems like a security oversight allowing such a weak password. I changed my password before making this thread.

On the one hand this seems simple enough (does hash of password = hash of username, if yes then don't be a moron).

On the other hand this also seems like one of those "the world builds a better idiot" scenarios.

In before "it only needs to be 6 characters long but must include a number, punctuation and can't be a common word".
