Except bootmii would survive a nintendo update where as preloader still would not.

how do you know ?
If preloader survives a 1-2 deletion it should survive any nintendo update.

Actually the preloader will not survive an update because it takes the place of the system menu .dol file and when an update is done that file is overwritten there for the preloader tool is overwritten by any update.

someone is working hard with no breaks I guess , good job buddy keep it up

_obviously_ preloader 0.30 is no longer in the 1-2 spot therefore an update won't remove it.
If it still was in the 1-2 spot if would have been deleted by ATD.

No it will still be uninstalled with a system menu install. Like I said the preloader replaces a file on the wii for the system menu called main.dol. It renames the actual system menu dol file and from there takes control after the boot proccess is finished. It can then boot into the system menu or HBC or the preloader menu. When and update or system menu wad file is installed the main.dol file is replaced and therefore uninstalls preloader. Unless the hack has changed completely so as to hook in at an even earlier point (replace boot 2 or something like that) there is nothing to prevent that from happening and I very much doubt that crediar has created his own version of bootmii. While it is possible to remove the system menu with preloader installing it again will remove preloader.

Not in .3 it doesn't. Crediar has altered boot2 to load preloader instead of the system menu, from its own custom title location, it is no longer stored in 001-002 its in a different location. the system menu is untouched, and remains in its default location and naming. only a replacement of boot2 and a update designed to kill the new specific location would wipe preloader entirely.

Thank you.
That's what I figured.
