    This is not possible, but not really needed too. Most of the 1080p movies I tried runs now full speed at default CPU speed :)

    So, i have more information about performances (and it's really good, to me). I tested some heavy 1080p trailers, and here are the results:

    • Into The Cave Of Wonders (4K)
      • Short (4K): MP4 H264 @ 12 Mb/s, AAC @ 255 Kb/s, 785 Mb => lag but well, it's not so bad after all :)

    Could it be possible to have USB support? And thank you Cpasjuste. This is one of the greatest homebrew imo.

    Really love this app it’s amazing, I don’t have github but would the new version have fast forward and rewind features, that’s the only thing I think this app is lacking

    Correct me if I'm wrong but afaik libnx doesn't support USB completely yet.
    But yeah, it would be awesome if pPlay and some emulators would have USB support. Especially pPlay obviously. :)

    As long as I can play videos from a NAS with pPlay's network feature I don't mind though (didn't try it yet but should work).

    I have recently used pplay onboard an aircraft and realized how much it drains the battery. A full charge lasts maybe 45 minutes. I had to watch my 2hr movie plugged in, and the charge rate cannot catch up with the drain, so I still ended up with a drained battery after finishing the movie. Is there a reason pplay drains battery so much? Is it because decoding is done on the cpu? I remember hardware decoding is very easy on the battery. I used to watch hours and hours of video on the psp.

    Yes. It's the best we're gonna get for now, until hardware decoding is available.

    Cool happy to hear that this project is still alive! I noticed on the last release that skipping was a bit wonky (Sometimes it would keep the GUI on the screen sometimes it would hide it so you had to bring it up again, and also it would take some time before it loaded after skipping)

    Will this work better in the new update?
    Also as someone mentioned it would be awesome to be able to skipp with the shoulder buttons. (Especially for us anime fans, those anime intros can get quite annoying after a while hehe)

    For me it's not that bad.
    Recently watched a 40 minute movie while on the train and that only got my battery down to like 40%. Maybe that was because it was only a 720p file?
