Hacking Powersaves 3ds Mario Kart 7 Q:

A couple weeks ago there was a thread where a user couldn't get his version of Mario Kart 7 to work because it was the day of release version and the Powersaves only reads the most recent one, and somewhere along the lines a user, not sure if the same or not, had gotten a email from Datel to send his game in so they can add it to the list. Now does anyone know whether or not said user sent his game in or not? Because i'm in the same predicament whether to send my game in or not, and i'd be willing to if said user hasn't sent his in already.

They did write back that they'll return it to me, so I was going to send it in tomorrow. But if someone else here wants to instead, that might save me some effort and a few cents on postage.

FWIW I bought two "preowned" copies from GameStop, two completely different stores, and both of them did not work in Powersaves, so I'm guessing the majority of them are "release day versions"... is there even a USA version that's confirmed working in Powersaves? (e.g. that someone here owns, not that Datel says will work )
As I'm just curious if there are two different ROM revisions, other games in the past have been that way. (Maybe there's a version with the 1.1 update pre-installed?)

yea i think the newer version has the update pre installed, so if you were already gonna send one don't let me hold you back lol i just wanted to confirm no one else has sent it so it wouldnt be a waste of time.

Do you want me to send it or do you want to send yours? I'd rather just return the cart to GameStop if you actually own yours.

I have the game as an eShop copy, so essentially what I'm trying to do is get my hands on a cartridge version so I can cheat and unlock everything, then just use save transfer tool to put it on my digital version - then I can return the cartridge and not need it anymore. Being a PowerUp Pro Member I can return preowned stuff within 7 days no questions asked so yeah. It's actually easier for me if you send yours in! I didn't realize others were having this problem haha, every time I make threads about Powersaves they just get ignored.
