I agree to stfour. Of course coverflow would be nice eyecandy, but I think that postloader is not made for being eyecandy, but being simple to navigate between all the contents a wii could ever have. You know bringing everything together but without confusing the user. If you want something for the eye, then go ahead and use one of the very nice themes provided, or do your own. also coverflow could make things slower than they are now, so I think postloader is fine like it is.

Can I ask a questions here: I try and avoid SDHC cards because I know some major apps are effected by it, I'm also aware this is the incorrect threat but since people are using your app to load GC games I feel it's equal to ask here then over there where I'm often not.

Are GC games stored on a SDHC card uneffected by DML? So will they load the same as if stored on a sd card?
Is neek still effected by SDHC cards?

I ask the last question cause neek is capable of running GC games but is it still effected by SDHC meaning will it work now.

I'm using an sdhc sandisk 8gb without problems. Just keep in mind that if you use 65K cluster (as suggested for dml) it will not work in sneek.

postloader is fine the way it is. it's not to confusing for my little ones who play (complected). an it works..some times too much of a good thing is bad.
this is great work stfour. you guys what coverflow use one of the loaders(usb).
I've so much thing in the todo list that talking about a coverflow display is impossible even if I make the decision to implement it. Maybe in the future... but I really prefer pl3 display mode, it's simple but very immediate. imho obviusly. ;)

MM, i think i made the wrong impression here, i too think PL is doing a good job, i meant to say i prefer coverflow for games over PL.
So i guess i also have to agree with the rest to keep PL simple...

In fact, i think PL already has too many options to play around with, i am surprised no one is confused about it yet.. lol..
In that light, coverflow is much simpler, scroll trough the game carroussel, pick a game, and hit A, thats basically it..if it is configured the right way...but i dont leave that up to other ppl (or kids).

Haha, now i think of it, PL is a wannabe USB loader, but it isn't...leave it up to the USB loaders... :yay:

I'm sadened by this response :( j/k
PL3 is simply an amazing app when used in conjunction with USB loaders (under real nand) it's possibilities are endless albeit i'm not sure if it uses any part of NeoGamma to play GC games. Hm.. you know PL3 is a ubs loader when run under neek :) rwar LoL :moogle:

You are right, postloader isn't an usb loader never claimed to be. It realy on gx, cfg, neek or dml to run games... it is a global forwarder,. If you don't like it, don't use it... is so easy.

For me it is absolutely an hobby. But I'm happy that a lot of ppl like it. Anyway I will continue to develope it even if I will be the only user.

Don't worry with me on your side you will never be the only user^^ As long as you have fun developing it, there will always be people who will have fun using your app.

You will change it's looks, and people will start complaining about it's speed.
(And I will start to complain about it's source becoming to big and complex.)(Only in the morning)
Focus on compatibility and versality, and leave the fancy graphics for the in game experience. (Like you are doing now.)
Don't get demotivated by requests from people comparing it to other programs. If the name Swiss wasn't used already,
I would call it the "swiss wii loader". If you eventually ran out of ideas, I still have one on a tiny paper you might maybe like as well.

Hi stfour, I just added DML support to wiiflow using your code and haven't asked you if it's OK, I hope you don't have a problem with it, otherwise say it to me.

stfour if you ask me, you're doing a wonderful job. I've been silently lurking in this thread, and also, you seem to be a kind person. Do not pollute because of some users here, think of real life people.

Thanks

PL is gpl, you can use all the code you want as far you keep gpl wiiflow. Also my code is derived from neogamma so it is a chain  :D

Thank you Coto ;)

Something strange is happening with 3.54.1, which I haven't experienced on previous versions. Previously I would just copy the ploader folder onto my USB HDD and the apps folder and other files would go on my SD card and no issues whatsoever. I could switch between real nand and neek2o nand within postloader.

When I did this with 3.54.1 it booted normally on my real nand (although when launching from HBC it would not show any info about version etc. in HBC). Also, once booted in my real nand it was showing my neek2o nand on the top??? I then launched neek2o (uneek+di) launched postloader through the forwarder channel and got the message there was no configuration file and would I like to create one on my SD card (not my USB)?

Thought this was weird, so I decided to do a clean install, deleted anything postloader related (except the covers and themes), downloaded a fresh version and as above copied the ploader folder to my USB and the rest to my SD. Loaded postloader in my real nand through HBC (again no info on version in HBC) and got the message about creating a configuration file on either the USB or SD. I chose USB and postloader loaded and showed real nand on the top. I tried switching to my neek2o in postloader and got the message *Cannot open SD://ploader/plneek.dir. When I tried it through neek2o same issue as above regarding the configuration file.

I do not use priiloader to autoboot postloader and my neek2o is revision 70. Do I need to return the ploader folder and all of the contents back to the SD card?

What am I doing wrong?

i'm here, an not going anywhere. by far this is one of the better apps written for wii.
: today is one year of being on this forum, an it's the best.:
