if i use the cheats normal, i get a freeze in the loading screen thats the reason
why i make a activator code
if u start a Quest, first you need to press Select ( - ) after that you can use the Cheats =)
this Cheats need sometime a refresh (only press the button again).

Let me clarify. Neither I nor anyone else wanted these codes to be released. If nobody wanted those released, why would we want other codes to be released?

I can see your point, there. But, what I'm curious about is why no one wants MK8 codes to be released? And secondly, if and ever these codes are converted for Switch for MK8 Deluxe, would you guys' refusal to release them still apply?

Because MK8 is an online game and most kids nowadays have little to no parental guidance and will end up hacking online all day and ruining the game for other people. Games like Zelda are offline so no one cares

Thank you for satiating my curiosity. I reckon that explains the double standard of, "Online codes for MK8 are not okay to share, yet offline is perfectly fine."

Offline won't alter the game experience for anyone else besides the person intending to use the codes. Although most MK8 codes are leaked by this point besides ones that have not been given to anyone

I see... kinda weird how no one got in an uproar when I introduced my M.I.T. pointer for Super Mario Maker, which works either on or offline.

@skoolzout1 How would you go about making an invincibility code for BotW? One where if an enemy attacked you it wouldn't touch you, but you could still attack them.

Well.. that'd probably really hard. the only way i could see anyone getting that to happen through basic RAM hacking, would be to either get lucky and find some sort of Constant that modify's Link's hurtbox size or somehow the enemy's weapon hitbox size.

if someone was really talented, not like me, then the other thing that you could maybe do is set a break point on your health address, and let an enemy hit you, causing the breakpoint to activate and freezing the game, and then you could maybe trace the instructions backwards or forwards from the instruction that lowers your health on hit, and find the place where it registers a collision with link's hurtbox, and just destroy that instruction so it never happens.

But that can be a tonne of work because staring at assembly for more than like 2 minutes hurts your head.

Sounds like some amazing things can be done with break points. As awesome as the current codes are, I can only imagine the types of codes you'd produce if you could use them.

Once again, thank you for taking the time to explain!

There's a new Update for BOTW...

How Exciting!! :3

no sarcasm at all..

.. not even a little bit

@RandomUser Would you be able to reupload your 1.1.0 Full game dump? ill get a full dump of 1.1.1 and then 1.1.2 after the update and see if i can make universal codes.

...Really? Are you positive you're not being sarcastic? All the last update did was claim to fix the framerate... to some degree. Allow me to add to the sarcasm, if you were being sarcastic, anyway: "And, you wanna know what the best part of all is? You can't skip the update, either; you can only stall it! That, and you have to update your codes again!"

@skoolzout1 I forgot to ask you earlier if your codes that require button combinations (e.g. teleport to pins) work with the pro controller? If not would that be hard to implement?

Yes it would be very hard to implement because i dont have a pro controller lol. but if my codes dont work for the pro controller then if someone tells me the address and button values for it i can make the changes easily so that they should work with pro controller.

Well if RandomUser reuploads his 1.1.0 dump, and after i finish dumping 1.1.1 and then tomorrow ill dump 1.1.2 and hopefully i can make lots of update proof codes. but ill probably have to remake every single code in assembly if the pointers are more than 2 stages. so thatll be fun.

Alright. So, is there any way to stall the update until then?
