Yes they are, there is a method with which you can install backups to your USB (like eshop titles)

Yup and run it with Hombrew Launcher, do I have to do the Kernel exploit as well?

I tried it with all my 9 weapons, hit save, then saved in game and reloaded, but only 4 of the 9 weapon slots seemed to have saved.

edit: Okay, it worked second time around

It works for Swords/Items/Arrrow but it have not effect for Shields/Bow
