I recall at one point an episode of mythbusters that weighed the host, weighed the burger before being eaten and then again following eating. It was less than the sum of its parts, presumed to be as a result of exhalation of water, CO2 and whatever else. I can't imagine an equal mass or volume is generated here.More accurate:
