OBJs are for the specific purpose of destroying bones. So there's no rigging. It doesn't show the model I'm trying to edit. Can I convert OBJ to a CGFX .bch or .bin file?
Because Game Freak uses Maya, do you know if that also has SMD import/export?SMDs can be edited in Blender with the Blender SMD Tools. There are SMD import and export tools for 3DS Max, but the one that I use only works on 3DS Max 2012 and before.
That's not a great conclusion, SMD files aren't a Nintendo or Game Freak format, they're used by Valve. It's just one of the best file types to use when exporting animations. But there is a Source SDK plugin for Maya, which can be found on Valve's dev wiki: https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/MayaBecause Game Freak uses Maya, do you know if that also has SMD import/export?
