Is it possible to edit CGFX Bones and models and import them in Ohana3DS (Rebirth)?

Well I can't reimport OBJ's or DAE's in Ohana and I don't know how to edit .SMD files. What software do I use?

It doesn't show the model I'm trying to edit. Can I convert OBJ to a CGFX .bch or .bin file?

OBJs are for the specific purpose of destroying bones. So there's no rigging.

SMDs can be edited in Blender with the Blender SMD Tools. There are SMD import and export tools for 3DS Max, but the one that I use only works on 3DS Max 2012 and before.

Because Game Freak uses Maya, do you know if that also has SMD import/export?

That's not a great conclusion, SMD files aren't a Nintendo or Game Freak format, they're used by Valve. It's just one of the best file types to use when exporting animations. But there is a Source SDK plugin for Maya, which can be found on Valve's dev wiki: https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Maya
