Hacking Possible to Dump a Cartridge with Hardware Method?

I am wondering if there is a way to dump a game cartridge for the 3DS with the use of a hardware mod? I am needing a private header for my Sky but unfortunately I have the N3DS and my friends are all on 9.5 firmware.

I have installed the hard mod on my N3DS and have dumped the NAND but would it be possible to wire say an Arduino and program it to dump the retail cart? Was there a method that people used to dump their roms before Gateway or has that been the only way to do so?

Sorry if this is in the wrong section I thought it fit since the main purpose is to get a private header.

It's certainly possible, but aside from one or two pictures of a dumping setup posted online, I don't think any information on how to achieve it has been made public.

This is why i'm keeping my 2DS at 9.2 forever, so I can keep dumping my own roms and saves as often as needed.

Would I be able to hookup the Dat0, CLK, VCC, and GND and dump the header area with win32diskimager the same way the hard mod NAND dumps are done?
