Cards made in Japan. There are only a few of these; the majority come from Taiwan/China. Toshiba, Kingston, Dane-Alec, PNY, etc are all from Japan (the 1GB ones).

Japan thing is overrated, I had 2 freezes in my 20hours of play with my sandisk

Virtually everyone with japanese cards have no problems. Sandisk cards are taiwanese, and are slow.
