I'm not very smart when it comes to voltage and watts and stuff. I have a car charger that says output 5v 2.1a total. If I buy a USB-C to USB-A cord can I use that as a portable charger?

Thank you for that, I did read through that before posting here but I didn't really understand it. Was hoping someone could give me a dummied down version
Lol. Ok. Stated specs by a manufacturer are not always accurate so IF that car charger can deliver 2A PER PORT you should hold steady. I noticed you said 2.1A "total" if that is divided between two ports it is going to fall short.

Yeah it's a 5 port car charger, it charges my iPhone and 3DS pretty fast. If I was to buy a car charger what do I need to look for then? Sorry for all the questions, just don't want to fry my switch and I need more than the charger Nintendo provided.

You wont fry your Switch unless your car's electrical system is messed up. What you want is 5V 2A (2.1-2.4) out of one port. It will charge decently when the Switch is off and hold steady while gaming.

The BEST way to charge in the car is get a power inverter and use the included AC charger because it will charge at the full 15V. Something along the lines of 200 peak watts (that is how they market them) should be sufficient, though 500 would be more versital for other uses. With that you will be able to game and get the fastest charge possible.

Edit: Because the vehicle outputs 12V an additional solution would be a straight 12V plug USB-C charger but I don't know if something like that exists in a mass produced scale at this point in time. There is a chart in the anandtech piece that lists what the amperage would be at 12V whatever it is it would me more than the Switch would draw which appears to be about 1.9 and would work just as well as the power inverter/AC charger method.

I know it seems a little goofy to go DC>AC>DC but voltage changes sometimes make it the simplest solution. I wear a CPAP at night due to sleep apnea so when camping out in the woods I need a solution. My CPAP is 24V DC so I lug around a big 12V marine deep cycle battery, clip a 500 peak watt inverter to it and plug my CPAP power brick to that that converts it to 24V DC.

Somewhere in the Wii U section is a post where someone did something similar to make the Wii U portable for camping. Lol.

I think Game streaming should work like this.... Local Hardware able the run the game fine, game engine and common assets stored locally, all FMV and music and textures could be streaming

Or free government supplied high speed internet be nice also. Like Obama care. Xdqwerty that's cool, its time consuming but rewarding once done or playable, to see what you've made from scratch. Animations take forever, but worth it.

    @BigOnYa,
and the visual aspect of the game is quite crude (the sprite that looks best is that of the protagonist just because he is a stickman with sunglasses)

There is a bullets behaviour you assign to your character, that makes the code easier, under "behaviours"
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
i meant that when the character is pointing to the right, the bullets spawn where they should, but when he is on the right, they move to the right but the spawn point is incorrect
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Itch.io has lots of free assets also. Under the bullets behavior tab, there is a "rotate bullets" option, can try that. Or in the code can try
    - fire bullet Player.X(PlayerDirection)

That's cool tho, I'm proud of you going back to it, not giving up. It is difficult at first to learn, but fun once you get the hang of it. I think I've watched every tutorial video there is, but I still struggle sometimes to get stuff to work right. But gotta keep trying dif things, and eventually you will get it right.

I live maybe 3 minutes from a Dairy Queen, so I would just go there for ice cream anything anyways. I usually get the Oreo Blizzard, or a Peanut Buster Parfait.
