Since both of my screens of my DS Lite broke, and the Touch Screen of my DSi XL, I can only play with my sister's pink DS Lite. But I want something that isn't pink, so I am asking you guys what I should do. Just answer the poll!

EDIT: New option added to the poll!

I've decided what to do. I'm going to replace the LCD-screen myself (€49,99), and I'll buy the successor of the 3DS. The 3DSi Lite XL or something.

You'll be waiting a long time, they aren't Apple and they've said themselves that they aren't doing it.

Then I will wait until the price will drop. Especially because I'm going to buy a NXT 2.0.

I have lots of DSlite repair parts. so that is definitely an option for me. And I'll wait for the revision on that 3DS.

You should probably just repair your DS Lite and then wait until about December-ish to get the 3DS.

It's not worth the price now, and by December, the demand will be so low that Nintendo will HAVE to drop the price.

Since you all say that I should buy the 3DS in the end, should I buy the 3DS for €249,99 now? Or should I wait? I really can't decide!

Wait. The 3DS is all cool and dandy, but for now it doesn't offer too many games appart from the stuff you already have on the DS.

Unless you're into playing DS games only and about 2-3 3DS titles, go ahead and get it. For me, it'd be a silly thing to do but hey - I'm not you. For you it might be the best option.

if u buy the 3ds, repair your ds lite
if u don't, repair your xl

Eeeuhm... Why? Repairing my Lite will cost me more money, since 2 LCD's are broken.

well i guess then just fix the xl
unless u got a bunch of gba games, there would be no point

@AncientBoi, Yeah, believe you can do PSP games as well. But a Pi5 is much powerful in comparison.

Not sure about other models of Pi4 but the Pi 4 B with 8GBs OCed to 2Ghz handles PSP really great except like 1 game I found and it is playable it just looks bad lol Motor Storm Arctic something or other.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Other games I can have turned up to like 2X and all kinds of enhancements, Motorstorm hmmm nope 1X and no enhancements lol

I will admit that one does seem more interesting than the usual Ambernic ones, and I already liked those.

This looks like one of their premium models, so... $150 :glare:

    To me that seems reasonable.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I mean since basically all the games are errmmm free lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean yeah sure but the specs are the same as a $50 model, it's just those pesky "quality of life" things driving up the price, like an actually working speaker, or buttons that don't melt, and stuff like that.

I think all in my Pi 4 was well north of 200 bucks 150ish for the Pi 4 the case the fancy cooler, then like 70 for the 500GB MicroSD then like 70 for the Xbox controller. But honestly it's a nice set up I really enjoy and to me was worth every penny. (even bought more controllers for 2 or 4 player games.) hmmm have never played any 2 player games yet :(
  • Veho @ Veho:
Yeah that's what I hate about the RPi, it's supposedly $30 or something but it takes an additional $200 of accessories to actually turn it into a working something.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
yes that's the expensive part lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean sure it's flexible and stuff but so is uremum but it's fiddly.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Yeah a lot of it I consider a hobby, using Batocera I am constantly adjusting the collection adding and removing stuff, scraping the artwork. Haven't even started on some music for the theme... Also way down the road I am considering attempting to do a WiiFlow knock off lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I want everything served on a plate plz ktnx, "work" is too much work for me.
  • Veho @ Veho:
Hmm, with that in mind, maybe a complete out-the-box solution with all the games collected, pacthed and optimized for me would be worth $150
