PokeTEX HG/SS help

    i wanted to edit the overworld sprites for my soul silver and i downloaded pokeTEX and the list.txt for hg/ss and can't get it to work... if anyone could tell me what to do, i would appreciate it.

    the japanese hg/ss list.txt won't work for the english hg/ss. use a japanese rom, edit the sprites, save your work.

    Then extract the two files from the japanese rom found here: (use nitro explorer)

    a/0/8/1
    a/1/7/9

    (I'm unsure which has all the overworld sprites you're looking for, so I just use both files. if anyone knows which is the proper one for overworld sprites, feel free to correct me on that.)

    and reinsert them into the english rom. Then you should have your edited overworlds.

    n00b-ish question but how would i put the sprites from the japanese rom onto the english? would i need to edit the .narc files?

    no, described above, you would extract the two narc files from the japanese rom that contain the sprites (after you got done editing the sprites in poketex) , and reinsert them into the english rom. I've done this for my edits, and it works fine.
