The other option of course is to keep changing the values and then checking the .SAV output.
That will help very little with the box algorithms -which was the only part I couldn't figure out.

I sent COM a handful of human-translated emails months ago, with no response. I'm assuming he has no desire to release the source code.

Maybe I'll just release a version without box functionality.

Of course he didn't reply...
he's very disappointed because people use this tool to win in battles against human players. he said on his website that this tool must not be used for this.
i would also be angry and not release the source.

Did he seriously think this wasn't going to happen. Pokesav pretty much single handedly ruined GTS. Pokemon Reader was made read-only for a good reason. Giving power to the people is one thing but there are instances where you really can't trust people and online games is one of those.

Well to be honest, the point is it'll eventually happen whether they like it or not, just like they got the information with barely anything more than the actual sav files, anyone can do the same, it's just time consuming and such, so most won't bother. It's easier to get the info from them, but not necessary, at which point I should also note that they didn't make the info, they got it from elsewhere at all.

The only reason you'd hold back editing capabilities is to try stop (delay) people from cheating but I'd say its a bit late for that.

I would like to see something like Pokesav for the DS, but you can just check the EV's and IV's of a Pokemon.

I have codes in the cheat database for the US releases that does just that.
