Hacking Pokemon Y Black screen

Hello,

I have my rom of Pokemon Y on my SD card. All other games run fine but Pokemon Y sticks on a black screen. It shows the icon and plays the cheesy music after selecting the game. Using Gateway 2.1 on 4.5 3DS. Any ideas?

Here are some possibilities:

• The ROM is corrupt - either became corrupt in transferring to your micro SD card or during the initial download. Try re-transferring it from your PC to your micro SD card, or just re-downloading the same release
• The ROM is a bad dump - you can try downloading a different release​
• You trimmed the ROM - I don't trim ever, so have no personal experience on what can go wrong from trimming. If you did trim it, try an un-trimmed ROM​
