Yoo Guys,
I was wonderin': DO you guys know that you could hack/change sprites in the Pokémon Diamond/Pearl games with a program?
Can you do the same on the USA version Pokémon Platinum?

Hope you guys know what I'm talking about.

EDIT: Program's name was PokeTEX.

I made a Platinum Version of PokeDSPic, its under my content (go to my profile).

Whoot thx that will come in handy too!

Do you btw know the offsets of the male hero?

How do I get this narc files? And is it possiable to change the looks of the hero? Like putting a spikey hair than wearing a hat?

you can change the sprites, but there are limits to that. Custom sprites tend to be buggy
you would have to manually modify the sprite of the hero ( overworld and inbattle ) to change his head
I doubt you can do that.
I doubt anyone that asks questions this way can do it.

awesome man, I have a question.

I was trying to use it to alter sprites in platinum similar to the way i did with my diamond hack, but everytime i change them and have them loaded in the game it is the same sprite recolored with the pallette of the one i tryed to replace it with. thinking it was some ordering mistake i went to see what would happed if i made the sprite, and the sprites before it and after it all the same sprite, but the same thing keeps happening, the sprites appear as the normal sprite with a different pallette. also this is the trainer sprites.

So, is this happens when you where testing the program or did i do somthing wrong?

well i heard somebody you have to modify sprites of yourself
i gaurantee i can do that. but i am sooo lazy >,<
well anyways, i learned to make sprites, i also draw for myself
i also made 3d models. and all results are the same, i am bored >,<
but still nice program thanks.

Anyone know which narc inside Pokemon Platinum (USA) is the overworld sprite of hero and heroic?

All I know trbgra.narc for back sprite and trfgra.narc for front sprite.

overworld sprites are ALL in one narc, forgot which one and I'm too lazy to check

Well that is what I'm asking for so I can save the png to edit it on Macromedia Fireworks 8. So tell me which narc is it?

EDIT: Ah I found it! It's called mmodel.narc under Data folder which have all the overworld sprites but the problem is that I have no program to open up the clear picture of the sprite in png. All I know I can save and edit the png with PokeDSModifiedVersion>PokeDSPicPlatinumTrainers for Trainer Front and Back. Is there any program where I can load the mmodel.narc? Thanks.

Yeh I ment Platinum. Daam ;l
i want to personolizae my char :'(

Yeah I know. All we need is a woking program of PokeTEX or PokeDSPic that support mmodel.narc from Pokemon Platinum JAP or USA so we can save the png and edit your own overworld sprite.

Nothing shows up with the original PokeDSPic either. Hm... I tried even the others and they don't work. Lets hope something turns up.
Where did you actually find that? under the mm folder? cause my narc is named move_model_list.narc

It's under Data>MModel>MModel.narc. You got the wrong one.

Uhhm I was wondering, you can edit your overworld sprites in Pokemon D/P with a program.
Was it PokeTEX?

Yeah. I saw someone used PokeTEX to edit overworld sprite for Diamond and Pearl. Even they post the video guide on Youtube.
