Pt is now MUCH easier to play and understand in terms of Battles and Items thanks to you. This is an excellent patch, and keep up the good work dude, I just thought I should commend you on this. ^^

!!!!!ENGLISH translation already in Pokemon Platnium!!!!!

Postby IMMORTAlpoke on Mon Sep 15, 2008 2:45 am
As all of you my fellow friends may know when DragonQuest IV came out in jap someone found that in the game there was a english translation hidden within the game, my point is that i believe that pokemon platnium also has one for when you start up the game the words nintendo and everything in the screen is in english not much to prove you may say but if you look when the main title screen shows it says press start in english my question is everyone is killing them selfs making all the story line doing so much work insted of looking back to what was within DragonQuest IV i dont think Nintendo made it for only one language wait 6 to 7 months to add English to it for its release here in U.S.A

I'm not sure how to put this nicely, so I'll say it as is.

You are wrong.
Anyone who has ever looked at the contents of Pokemon DP/Pl knows you're wrong.
Now this entire thread knows you're wrong.

Stop making wild assumptions. Don't announce things unless you've researched the ROM files yourself.

+1, I agree.

There is no hidden "English version" in the game. If the game itself was multilingual then I would see no viable excuse for Nintendo not to release it here on the same date as it was in japan. I'm not launching a barrel of hate-nades at you but think before you post.

once patched you will be able to use the save you had before but you have to rename the save with the extra words if you used the exe program that patched the game for you
or
you could just rename the game to the original name once patched.

how could i do that?

By....replacing it?

I know with my SuperCard every time you patch it with a loader...etc it will recreate a save file, just copy your ROM over, but don't touch the save file.

i put the rom on and got rid of the other one and it make s me start a new game
how do i fix this?

um just replace the save file you used before with the patched version...make sure its named the same
now by the sounds of it you just put the patched version into your card without taking out your save data..if you did that then you lost your data and now have to start over.

I rather enjoy a life of taking it easy. I haven't reached that life yet though.

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
    +1
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm

  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds

It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space

@rqkaiju2, Physical media is a great source for archiving your data, none of that cloud storage shiz.
