It's a mistranslation. Both trainer battles and Online will be in the game.

Really like the return of the pokewalker mechanism, but I'd much rather play HGSS for that. Co-op looks neat, though!

Unfortunately those two things aren't enough to sell me on what essentially looks like Pokemon Go 2

Waste of a remake. A real pokemon yellow remake could have been the best pokemon remake ever, due to nostalgia alone.

From the trailer, it looks amazing. Walking with Pokemon, riding some Pokemon, multiplayer and beautiful graphics. I am disappointed that they decided to have it able to connect to GO, however. It was a nice game, but it should stay out of the main series. What gives me hope, however, is that it is a spin-off title, and its because of this that I almost don't mind the catching mechanic and ability to connect to Pokemon GO, in fact, it makes it unique and fun, and that's what I personally like in spinoffs.

I am worried about 2 things, however. If this is what we get for our Yellow remake, it's slightly confusing to the way its categorised. I know its not intended to be a remake, but the fact that it's slipped between the main series/spin-off line makes it rather hard to see it as a remake or otherwise. That bothers me for some reason

The other thing that I'm worried about is the line in the trailer that stated "Your first adventure in a new style". I'm hoping that just means it's the first Pokemon adventure on the Switch, and not that mechanics such as the Pokeball throwing are here to stay.

I haven't got a Switch yet, but when I do I will be picking this up (probably let's go Pikachu), even if some of the new features seem silly and turn out to be horrible, it just seems to be a cute little feel-good game and I'm sure it'll be at least mildly entertaining.

If anything can speed up switch emulation it's pokemon games I guess. New main game and anime are coming at the end of next year, that is enough space for a lot of work.

After calming down a bit, I will say I hate it’s Kanto again, and the original 151. But I think this game is a good thing. First of, as simple as this is, it’s a good way to introduce Go players to real battle mechanics, and get the trained for Gen 8.

Looks pretty much exactly what I was expecting from the early leaks: I'm not exactly hyped for it, but it might be a fun filler game until the main one next year, might give it a go...

The more I think of this, the more I think it is brilliant.

The capture mechanic is very familiar to casual go player, but doing this would introduce them to the battle mechanics in a... non threatening? way.

I really think this is ment to be sorta a training game for the more casual players to get them ready for Gen 8.

New people who are only go players will get this to enjoy and then next year they may go "Hey.. Pokemon... I enjoyed Lets Go.. I'll get this."
