I don't know if the USA version is different from the JAP version but, if you try to soft reset to get a shiny starter, do you have to obtain it first to see if it's shiny or
does it show if it's shiny when you view the Pokemon you're going to choose?( USA )

Okay thanks I was wondering for a while because I was sring for about a month and not a single shiny starter.

hehehe.. i would rather use pokesav to mod it to a shiny
