I don't know if the USA version is different from the JAP version but, if you try to soft reset to get a shiny starter, do you have to obtain it first to see if it's shiny or
does it show if it's shiny when you view the Pokemon you're going to choose?( USA )

i thought the odds are pretty LOW?
hehehe.. i would rather use pokesav to mod it to a shiny

Lol you would have to soft reset like a million times before you would get a shiny, you should just use a pokesav.
