what does the acecard2i do that the others dont anyway? i mean in umm.... running the roms or whatever, cos if its in the way it reads the rom, or...(god i aint good at describing this, bare with me...) gives the data to the DS, would that narrow down what the problem is?

They fixed the AP on the Korean version. The Korean version has the same AP as the US version.

just maybe could it be that there isnt anything wrong with the extra overlay, but that the AP stuff is in some other overlay? The data could have just been renumbered

i think we all know bout the extra overlays and files in the us version i am currently reading through them with a hex editer and believe me i could use the help ive gone throught bout 1/4 of the files if that

Well replacing the patched rom's Data folder with the US one eliminated the black screen freeze but now the words are all messed up haha

i dun think that focus on smthing JP dun hv is a good idea but list them out and start working on each of them might b a good idea

so if thats the case then the AP location was found right? so.... we look at the same location in the (U) ver...

i give up, its 08:06 AM in the uk and i havent slept....
