Homebrew Pokemon HG .sav problem

Im using DSTT and after beating soul silver, i decided i wanted to have a completed HG anyway. So i got the Rom and a .Sav file that was finished, but when i went to load it, the screen just went black. Any help?

From my understanding, he got the Heart Gold ROM, and then downloaded a .sav file from the internet.
