Gaming Pokemon Diamond pokemon ranch problem

ok well I took the time to catch ALOT on pokemon diamond and after I seeing that there is enough pokemon i decide to buy pokemon ranch.
Well before i continue i am using a rom backup of diamond.
well i try to connect my wii and my DSi (i also tried my DSL same effect) and the screen went white. Plz help. (i already searched the forums)
my cart is the AK2i

If you are using AKAIO firmware, you must press and hold the X button for the wii connectivty to work.
