well... *nothing to say* happy new year 2012 XD and well done you still continued on you project XD

yeah if you found new thing is make hacking is fun but if you stuck on somewhere point is make hacking is bored... uh that all...

like i can change pokemon BG music (BW, is still same as HGSSDPPt) is so fun for me that time but after i get stuck on manipulate midi file and i learn many thing, is make me bored and after i think is done so i research another data and searching file i needed. yeah after i found new thing is make me fun on hacking so i continued to hack pokemon games for my another hack translation project maybe i abandoned that since i lost some that data and i was forgot some point in there, and my laptop have some problem with emulator, and i can't recopying on my microsd because is 256 MB, is make me bored and decide discontinued them, is not mean i can't hack them, i just bored these problem i get.

It's true that it can be a little boring when you get stuck at something, but no matter what, it can't be impossible, so It's best for you that you keep trying

Oh, by the way, I fixed the palettes and everything else, and this is the final result for the top screen:

.....now what?...

EDIT: I focused more on the previous title screen. And what I've noticed is that the text looks like toothpaste X_X and because of that, I used a different type of text:

And now, I guess I should work on destroying the bottom screen and putting it back together again...

EDIT 2: Hey Andibad, could you give me a little more details on how to "flatten" Lugia? I tried lots of things, including trying to edit it with 3DS max, but that didn't help much...

uhm strife, is bmd0 format is cannot editable on 3dmax, if you convert them into obj file is still cannot convert them back to bmd0, since not all format are known.

Luckily, I changed the bmd0 file extension into .nsbmd and it worked, but after that, I didn't find much else to do, NSBMD editor just opens and views them, I don't think it can do anything other than that...I'm still testing some stuff, like absolutely changing the fact that it's a 3D model, I'll give my "report" on what happened as soon as I'm done with my fiddling.

....seconds before I was about to post that, I tested completely changing the .bmd0 into a .NCGR file. and the result was a super crash X_X

seriously 3d models nsmbd or bmd0 is not alone file to edit, for now just view only on bmd0 and btx not bta0 and another format... i was get some extension is for models used on pokemon game (no to spin off game). ab and wb are is archive models is for world map. wb is just containig bmd0 without texture, ab is bta0 and bmd0 file. also some bmd0 are is no have texture.
is
also some bmd0 need some file like: (not all bmd0):
  1. btx0
    Document : http://llref.emutalk...tx0.xml#xml-doc (from lowlines)
Magic Stamp : BTX0 (basic texture)
    section : (TEX0) "Texture".
  2. bca0
    Document : http://llref.emutalk.net/docs/?file=xml/bca0.xml#xml-doc (from lowlines)
Magic Stamp : BCA0 (Basic Character Animation)
    section : (JNT0) "Joint Transformation"
  3. btp0
    Document : ???
Magic Stamp : BTP0 (basic particle)
    section : (PAT0) "particle".
  4. bma0
    Document : ???
Magic Stamp : BMA0 (basic material)
    section : (MAT0) "Material".
  5. bta0
    Document : ???
    Magic Stamp : BTA0 (basic .....)
    section : (SRT0P) "....".
  6. bva0
    Document : ???
Magic Stamp : BVA0 (basic Va...)
    section : (VIS0) "....".
for now just btx0 (nsbtx), bmd0 (nsbmd), wb only can viewed, for editable is just fairly done, just waiting someone v_v i just begginer on programming so i can't help much in there.

so skip that point, since is not enought to do for now. you can focused to edit sprite or another was posible easy to edit them.

But in the end, I don't want Lugia's 3D model, Thus I doubt I'll be needing to edit it... isn't there any way I can change every single 3D model-related file into 2D related files?...
you can try replace them with ncgr? XD maybe work or maybe not work since you need hack on overllay or ARM.

Great job on the titlescreen. :)
I would suggest adding a grey or black outline to the "Strife and Ice corporation present" text, since it is slighty unreadable as it is right now.

Yeah. it does blend in, I'll go work on it. Removing the 3D model is too confusing anyways...

...I just hope I'll be able to finish the 3D model thing before the 7th :(

....Wait a sec, Andibad...What do the Overlay and ARM files have to do with the 3D model...?

is just for change system to read that offset to ncgr file, is mean need change to can read ncgr file and not as bmd0 and another support file... but is seems hard to find these section.

Sorry for being so lazy to the point that it took this long for me to post the un-blending text version :(

Anyways, here it is:

By the way Andibad, is there any tool that can tell me where the offset is on the Overlay/ARM files for the Lugia BMD0 file, so I can change it to NCGR?

EDIT: forgot something, Andibad, could you also please tell Ice what you would like your cameo to look like, just like EMP did? :P Also, what would you like your name to be in Clear Crystal? EMP Knightmare = Prof.EMP, and Andibad = Prof. ___________

no. is impossible to do that without hack on system, you tools are debug on emulator, and crystaltile to do that.

Hmm....seeing as it's impossible to find where the data is in the overlay/ARM files using tools, I guess the only possible way to go is to open the overlay/ARM files with hex editor, and then I guess I'm supposed to translate which line points to what file? some people were able to translate which line points to evolution, and which line points to stats, so there must be some kind of strategy or something that they go on to translate...

....last resort would probably be making a 3D lucario, but....it's the 5th....only 2 more days....oh well. Any work that isn't finished now will be delayed to next time :) ....I just wish I could finish editing the bottom screen :(

Wish i could help with this one but i be just the artist. I suck at hacking  I just make the things that get hacked in.
Before you leave strife, you have to hit 100 posts!

All done, I can leave now lol

And yet again, another.............VICTORY!!!

Although this is probably the least thing you could possibly call a victory, here's the result of me trying to hack the bottom screen:

gallery_288620_446_40528.jpg

that was actually the result of replacing the lugia 3D model with the ho-oh 3D model without changing the animations...

...I honestly don't know why I posted all that, it's pretty useless...but anyways, I'm gonna work on a 3D title screen, Now I just need to discover how to make animations, and how to convert the 3D lucario file (not sure what it's extension will be) into a .bmd0 / NSBMD file...

...Oh well, Guys, see you next year, it was really fun hacking, but I guess we should just wait patiently until next year...or maybe it's 8 months...? meh, as long as it's long, it counts as the same thing...cya guys :)

PS: I know it isn't the 7th yet, just posted my good-bye now since I probably mightn't have time tomorrow.

That ho-oh/lugia fusion does look like a pixel explosion
Well it certainly has been fun making this with you and I hope you're geared up and ready to go when you return, in a very long time X_X
Dont flop school B-)
