What I wanted to know is if this is because I'm playing it through a flashed cart, I have an Acekard 2i.
Yeah, that's probably why. Buy a legitimate cart and you'll be able to connect to WPA/WPA2 access points.
ALL DS games DONT support wpa/wpa 2. you we'll have to change your router settings to wep for it to work.

Actually that's not true. All DS titles only work with WEP regardless of whether you're on a flashcart or not. I have a legitimate Pokemon White game, and recently my dad switched our house's internet connection to WPA. As a result, I could no longer use Wifi on my DS lite.
Pokemon Black and White are not DS games, they are DSi games.
Thus they can play WiFi on WPA/WPA2.

Ya, I know. DS games also cant use WPA on the 3DS.

@Soulx are you sure your just not full of BS?
My my, you are quite stupid. You just don't know when to admit you're wrong.

I guess the hundreds of other people online are full of BS, too.

Let's break this down.

Black White is a DSi game, correct?
DSi games can use WPA/2, correct?

Okay. So far so good.

If he has a DSi or a 3DS, if you use a legit cart you can connect.
If he has a DS Lite, you can't connect to WPA/2 no matter how hard you try
Also if he has a 3DS or DSi and is using a flash cart, it still would not connect because that aspect of DSi mode isn't implemented in that particular flash cart.

Find your situation above to figure out whether or not this thread is worth continuing.

Is that not what I've been saying this whole time?

I already told you that I play Black and White online on my 3DS with a legit cart with my WPA2 connection. I don't see how that is an assumption.

Ok so from all posts I deduce that I have to either change the router to wep or get a different cart that supports dsi enhanced stuff, considering that I want to keep using flashcarts.
Ok that was helpful guys, thanks for the info!

Yes I still want to use flashcarts xD, but I will buy it, it's awesome. But btw, my problem accessing the wi-fi happens outside the game too, not just in-game.

If you do get a DSi flashcart (CycloDS iEvolution), you still won't be able to play Pokémon Black and White online with WPA/WPA2. If I recall correctly, there isn't any NA/EU dump that has the DSi data intact. Your only option is to buy a legitimate cart.

Mind elaborating (on your other problem)?

That other problem is, when i try to access my wi-fi through the ds, it doesn't work, it says the security is not compatible or something.
But I will buy the original game. I really want to play online with ease

So I bought the game and i've read in the nintendo site, and be it flashcart or original, it has to be WEP, so yeah.
I bought the game and tested it myself, so now i'll just return the game, waste of money

You've bought the original game? And it didn't work?
Where did you read that it had to be WEP?
