I just purchased an acekard 2i, and have been having trouble getting the new english pokemon roms to work on it. I put the firmware and akaio loaders on the card, and it has always recognized the rom image. However, when I try to start it, it would freeze at the initial white screen after selecting the rom.
I patched, encrypted/decrypted the file, and added some additional files that I was told may be helpful. It then got past the white screen, started the screens that say who made the game, like gamefreaks, nintendo, etc, and then froze before the title.
This was the only time I got that far. after that, it wouldn't even make it to the white screen; when i select the rom, it displays "loading" in blue, switches to yellow, and then stays there permanently.
I formatted the card and started over, still the exact same issue.
Fearing it might be a kernel issue, I downloaded a rom for pokemon diamond, and it worked perfectly. So i extracted the ARM7 file from diamond and patched it to black, and STILL the same problem.
What am I missing?
