I did the same, patched rom will still work after you update to 1.8.6

The game doesn't work on G6 DS Real with the last v4.9a x74 update, even patched. It just freezes during the introduction. You can add it to the list, though I don't think anyone is still using this old linker.

I can get it in to the Union room and walk around just fine but my wireless Signal bars go down to zero. (only when I'm in there.) That was with a retro patched (E) rom on original R4 wood 1.25. I'm trying it now with patched (E) rom and 1.26. Will post results.

Edit: NOPE. same issue. Can anyone post with results with a clean rom?

Edit Edit: Just to clarify, i can get in and walk around no problem. Should i be seeing other trainers though? or how does the union room work? Even if that was the case it doesn't explain my signal going out just in the union room.

I think a zero signal bar is normal for the U-room. Only after you've talked to another player in it will the signal bar go up.

So then the union room is just for trainers in your immediate vicinity? in that case, i guess it works just fine. OP can be updated then to include flawless performance on wood 1.26 with clean AND patched rom.

If this is indeed the case with the whole trainers in your "immediate vicinity" bit.

if you can walk inside the union it works fine
if you want to trade or battle with another trainer over wi-fi you need to have wi-fi enabled on the ds
then the union room catches the other person and you can trade/battle just fine.

I still can't go any further because the game freezes when I battle the trainer in the first gym. I'm stumped and I'm using a patched version of White.

Do you still have this problem?
Maybe try to use your touch screen.. not the buttons.

I had the same problem with no$gba and the anti ap cheat.

Ah, are you using a J save? I've heard of that problem happening because people switched their J save over.

In the patched version of Pokemon White, the game freezes when you go further into the first gym. I've tried every patch and it gives me the same result. I'm gonna see if I can try it clean and maybe there will be some results. If not then I give up.

It might help if you list your card and firmware. And turning off cheats. Or using the AAP cheat.

Ah, are you using a J save? I've heard of that problem happening because people switched their J save over.

Dude, the latest is 3.0 SP8. Try upgrading, I don't know, YEARLY?!?

Also, try the AAP cheat, which supposedly makes the game work.

Updating with the code soon!

3.0 SP8 is outdated. I'm using a new EOS which replaces the old one.

So far it's up to V1.0 SP6 and I'm upset that the game freezes because when I tried it on Desmume, it doesn't freeze at all.
