ROM Hack Pokemon B/W AP Discussion Thread

Alright, so I installed AKAIO 1.8.6a and put Pokémon white on my flashcart. When I try starting it, it gives me the error "System file is missing". If I play any other game on my flashcart, they work perfectly fine.

Any ideas? :/

Try and turn off AAP, that was giving some people problems apparently. If that doesn't work, download a different dump, and try again.

I got a r4i sdhc from r4i-gold.com. Using RGF, I can play the game fine but when I start to save it freeze. Using the Wood4TT, it would load fine into Wood but I can't seem to get any games to load. It would just give me two white screen. Anyone know how to fix the white screen on wood4tt or the save freezing?

I'm having the same problems playing on an r4i-sdhc.

At first RGF's 6.52 fix seems to work but freezes randomly. (mostly when saving or logging on WFC)
Wood for TT doesn't load games only the firmware.

I've tried clean and patched roms, and tried reformatting my micro-sd multiple times to try to fix the freezing, but it didn't help.
Are there any other ways to get this game to run?? Or wait until r4i-sdhc.com updates their firmware?

I didn't read all the 46 pages but when I'm playing and I use the Entralink and the MC walks on the Bridges, the Wi-Fi signal comes red and when I come back to the grass, it becomes like it was before I walk on the bridges... Is it a AP?

I have a friend with a R4 SDHC (not R4i !). i've manage to make wood work on it, but when i press new game, it freezes as soon prof araragi appears. tried getting a .sav from another friend and it loads, i can exit houses, but when trying to save, it freezes.

so, R4 SDHC is a no go, but if any1 can help me out, or share any info, thx ^^

Same problem here, i got good signal, but when i go on the bridge to connect to som1, it just loses connection, going off the bridge returns to normal..

what is going on with the C-gear??? I have the 5594 AP fix 1.0 from filetrip, using edge 2.1 and my game freezes when i load up the c-gear.

it worked on the japanese version, so i don't know why ppl are saying that it won't work(as in- in the very near future) on the USA version.

where can i go in regards to following the progress on this?

EDIT: okay, so according to somebody else, this is not actually frozen, it is because you are supposed to tap the screen and not press A... I'm fighting team plasma again x_X I'll let you know the results in a second

EDIT 2: Confirmed, turning the c-gear on and off is completely touch screen... now i feel stupid, but i'm not the only one so its okay

It's not working for me either. It lets me run the game but I get a black screen after the professor talks about going on a journey and stuff ( after I pick my gender and my name ).

I extracted the wood files on my sd and I'm using the RetroGameFan's latest YS menu. ( I replaced the TT menu file from the YS menu with the 1 from Wood)

2. How can you possibly be a "helpful" member of any community when you assume all people asking questions are "bothering" you?
3. TTDS is just as popular as all the other crap out there. Just because I'm not going to waste $30 for a flashcart when another flashcart is $4.38 and does the exact same thing doesn't mean I can't ask questions.
4. Lying to people and saying it won't work... is lying it does work on damn near every cart out.

Peoples having TTDS issues with WoodTT:
Just replace the usrcheat.dat with yours- replacing the other files will most likely just screw up your firmware. There is no need to replace the infolib/savlib/extinfo, etc.
Anyone using the WoodTT dual boot to YSMenu or TTMenu:
It sucks and it's pointless. Just boot with WoodTT and get use to the lackluster GUI and controls if you want to play Black and White.

R4's are $2.90 actually. TTDS is around $4.38 - there is no comparison they run the same firmware for the most part. Just sit back and shush. The people that actually DO stuff for this site are talking >.>
