Antoligy, could you be so nice to find all the Pokémon sounds? Or just give me a link to it?

I haven't read this whole thread through yet, so I may edit this post as I go.

First thing's first: http://www.legendarypokemon.net/downloads, specifically http://users.forthnet.gr/ath/ancalagon/pokedex-data.zip, will get you a ton of data... the cries are here - http://users.forthnet.gr/ath/ancalagon/dp_pokecry.zip.

Could always have the Homebrew App open the user's Pokemon: Diamond or Pearl save and read what pokemon the user currently haven't have seen and caught and use that data in the application. Theres a few resources out there giving in depth information on the save data.

What resources are you specifically speaking of? I know only of http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Pok...cture_in_the_DS and http://forum.pokesav.org/viewforum.php?f=1...478522615175e46.

By the way, you should have a look at http://forum.pokesav.org/viewtopic.php?t=1895... someone is trying to make a DS program to read the .sav file.

For the maps, didn't quite found a solution for it yet though...

I know you said you use Serebii already, so you must have seen PokéEarth... maybe Serebii would let you use the images from it? They're all designed to look similar, right? http://www.serebii.net/pokearth/

Do you know theres a better pokedex for ds?it is dexterds

haha probably not better. you still have to wait for their official release and not judge it based on the alpha version.

QUOTE(Antoligy @ Dec 19 2008, 07:29 PM) We already know about DexterDS, and have done since THE FIRST RELEASE! (i.e. 3 months ago)
In fact, we came first.. you could argue that it rivals us!
DexterDS is good, but cheats a little because the entire package is 906( 3x2x151) bmp's with touchscreen control.
well yea its true that it is cheating if you just use it entirely image based but the main problem with how i had it coded in the beginning(individual sprites, fonts, buttons, etc) was that it looked way to messed up for my taste because of the fonts. they were either too small or too crappy looking and then when i spent hours working on a custom font it didnt help at all. that is the only reason i did it that way. so once again you might think its cheating but what i did is no different than inputing the data in a database and having the program grab that info and print it on the screen.
oh and about pokedexds being customizable thats cool. but i just think that once you give the user freedom to do that kinda stuff it is bound to mess up the program. for example how would it look if you customize it so that the background has floating male genitals all over the place. i dont think it would be very nice to see something like that.

Okay, I officialy anounce that this project is dead.
I wanted to work on it again today, but I couldn't get the compiler to work, so did a lot of installing and uninstalling etc.
Until, I uninstalled Devkitpro.
I thought, it will keep the files that are not from Devkitpro in the folder.
But it didn't.

So, PokédexDS is gone.
Mods can close this thread.

Hmmm i see wabsta, i dont mean this in a bad way, but the project just kind of lost its spirit, anyway thanks for everything you have/had done i appreciate it.
