Homebrew Suggestion Plex & Netflix homebrews

Hello,

I have a dual boot with ATMO & switchroot : the only reason i keep the android version is for plex & netflix app.

I see a old post from Plex support about switch portage but they will wait an official contact from Nintendo before doing something : is there any way to connect to my plex server ?

For Netflix, as there is no official app, a homebrew can never be created i suppose...unless we recreated an APK from android. And if it would be possible, i'm pretty sure Netflix will find a way to block it. I suppose this will be the same for GeForceNow or Stadia...

You could look into Jellyfin instead of Plex.

Netflix will be removed on WII U : perhaps a hope for the Switch.

I prefer Plex because it's nativly included in my Shield TV ans it's working very well !

Hi everyone, as an engineer, I too thought this might be doable and was waiting for someone else to take it on. But now we have access to tools like Claude, I thought it was worth giving Claude Code's latest model a shot to fork Switchfin (a Switch client for Jellyfin) to create pleNx, the first Plex native client for the Switch, and it did successfully with download & watch offline feature and watchlist support ! Take a look if you're interested !

Hi everyone,

Like a lot of you I always thought the Switch would make a great Plex remote for the couch (and the bed, and the train), and kept waiting for someone to build it. Now that we have tools like Claude, I figured it was worth giving Claude Code's latest model a shot at
forking Switchfin (dragonflylee's excellent Jellyfin client) and migrating it entirely to the Plex API — and it worked...
