Two questions please help

1. How is homebrew launcher different from fbi? What is the purpose of both.

2. I followed frogminer which is all good. But i get this screen

FBI installs cias (commercial games), homebrew launcher runs .3dsx which is homebrew format

Did you follow the guide at 3ds.guide ?

I think there was some time offset issue of system when installing godmode, in 3ds guide it told to put it to 0. Later when installing something else it said time offset is different from rtc so I set it to current time

Is homebrew important if I only want to download and play CIAS? I don't want anything else.

You simply need to follow the instructions in your picture to fix the issue.

Don't follow video guides, they are typically incomplete and outdated

Follow 3ds.guide if you want to fix whatever that video guide broke

If you have fbi running and don't care about homebrew then you don't need the homebrew launcher
