Hardware Please help! are this person trying yo scam me...?

I bought a working PS4 FAT in 4.55 but in wont update to the latest, it was a problem of the disc drive (it didn't work) so i sell it to $50 dlls (marking that error, of course) the person tried to fix it, and now he tells me it was the motherboard that it was bad, that it was connected to the disc drive, so now he wants me to give him $25 dlls to do a ''reballing'' thing, is this PS4 gonna fix with that...?

Any help would be appreciated!

The drive specifically is not but the daughter board that is attached to the drive is tied to the motherboard.

Well... i tell him the problems, and he accepted, and also that was a cheap ps4 to start with
