PlayStation Norway posted this picture on Facebook, which is of the Norwegian explorer Fridtjof Nansen. The words across blanking out his face 'uutforsket' translates to 'unexplored'. People are suggesting this has something to do with Uncharted, DLC or a new game.

Source code reveals that the website could possibly have been made by Christian Calmar who works for PlayStation and is the owner of Bifrost Productions who makes websites, music, etc (Bifrost name is also in the source)

Probably a long-shot, but N20 E59 points at the exact center of the Arabian Sea and KL is short for Kuala Lumpur. :P

EDIT: That said, it could just as well be S20 E59, which is close to Mauritius and Madagascar (also somewhat in proximity to Kuala Lumpur), N20 W59, which is the area of the Bermudas or S20 W59 which is on the border of Paraguay... Still, KL really suggests Kuala Lumpur to me...

Maybe they can finally give some goddamn multiplayer to Uncharted: Golden Abyss.

I don't have the game but I thought it was so silly to cut the one thing people started loving on Uncharted for a console meant to blur the lines between console quality and handheld quality. The game already shows off the Vita's graphics and controls, why can't it show that it's a competent multiplayer platform too?

Most likely it's DLC though.

Some sorta journey to the middle of the sea, maybe? That would be rather interesting...

Nice! Do you mind me posting this on NeoGAF (if they haven't found out already, lol)?
Please, go ahead. :)

I'm glad I could be somewhat helpful.

EDIT: Google Maps seems to be a little bi*ch when you type in "Ostoen" as on the teaser map and tries to correct it to "Ostøya", type in "Ostøya, Bærum, Norway" and it will find the exact spot. Not sure why it corrects it like that but it's definatelly the same Island, in fact, a different map says it's indeed "Ostoen" so perhaps it's just a difference in spelling or "Ostoen" was a name used in the "Olden Days". I wouldn't know, I'm not from Norway. ^^;

My innitial suspicion that this has something to do with sea travel are slowly becomming solidified...

Probably completely unrelated, but still interesting ---> MS Athena is a cruise ship owned and operated by Classic International Cruises. She was built in 1948 as the MS Stockholm by Götaverken in Gothenburg for the Swedish America Line. (...) She was later used as a barracks ship in Oslo for asylum seekers in Norway under the name Fridtjof Nansen.

Collision with the Andrea Doria

On the night of July 25, 1956, at 11:10 PM, in heavy fog in the North Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Nantucket, the Stockholm and the Andrea Doria of the Italian Line collided in what was to become one of history's most famous maritime disasters.

(...)

With its sharply raked bow and cruiser stern the 525 foot (160 meter) Swedish American Line’s MS Stockholm could have been mistaken for a private yacht as it was one of the smallest yet one of the prettiest liners on the North Atlantic. Many likened her hull to that of a war ship being so slender, and certainly later her sea worthiness did rather prove that she sailed more like a war ship than a liner, In America she hailed as being “The Worst Roller on the North Atlantic.” Externally she looked a delight painted in the traditional Swedish America Line’s colours: a white hull, a pale yellow funnel with a blue shield containing three golden crowns.

Also...

In Nordic mythology, the celestial bridge, "Bifrost", is mentioned as the link between not only Earth and the home of the gods but between life and death, as well. Such a notion may have been prompted by the northern lights and, even in popular belief, this phenomenon has always been associated with death. People believed in the ability to contact the dead through the arc of the northern lights that stretches across the sky. A remnant of this belief may still be observed among northern-Norwegian children when they can be caught waving white cloth at the northern lights, in sheer defiance of this sight.

Naturally, the northern lights have inspired both artists and travelers - once they have seen it. The summer, however, is the usual time of year for journeys to the North, and this is also why most visitors have not seen the northern lights. The active periods of the northern lights vary, too, and may differ in time with solar activities. Sunspot activities have been at low occurrences for long periods of time and, as a result, observations of the northern lights have been correspondingly few. This is the reason why we do not find mention made of the northern lights in well-known depections of northern Norway during the 17th-century. But Fridtjof Nansen spent numerous winter nights under a canopy of blazing northern lights.

Also...

Nansen was born in Christiania which is shown on the forementioned map (it's Christiania Fjord afterall).

...I must be super-bored for searching like this...

So, something to do with Sea travel and... the aurora borelais?
Yes. I'm just not quite sure of the time period, which would make research much, much easier. It's easy to pin-point a place on the map, it's convinient that Nansen was born there but if you don't know the time period, you can never be sure if they mean "the ship" Nansen or "the person" Nansen. This could be either about the journey to the Pole or about something else, entirely.

KL's time zone is GMT+8

KL 20:59 = 8:59PM (GMT+8)

:wtf:

Why would PlayStation Norway refer to another regions time zone? But yeah as Foxi4 said, it's probably about the polar expedition
