Hacking Playing rom files from DVD

I think I've seen this somewhere before, but are there any cIOS files that will allow me to launch roms from a DVD instead of having to install WADs?

I'm fairly certain that emulators usually use dvdx to allow dvd use in homebrew, not cIOS.

You can get dvdx installed by using the hackmii installer.

Correct. Although you don't use it directly, the emulators are then just able to read dvd's.

That depends on the roms that you have. I have no idea what system you're wanting to know about.
