I have a Korean-made console that has been modified to 3.2u, HBC version beta9, iOS 36. Currently, it uses Softchip to read DVD. I want to switch to a USB loader GX and use the ModMII wizard to upgrade to 4.3u. I downloaded 44 WAD files. Do all of these WAD files need to be installed? Why are there so many, or are they optional?

You should follow your modmii generated guide.

You should also run Korean kii homebrew and ensure the Korean key is removed from the seeprom.

Sure you could reduce the number of WADs modmii suggests you install by changing its options (active ios and extra brick protection for example) but I don't think you should. Most of these 44 are updated IOSs that are mostly needed for official functions (I. E. Playing disks from the disc channel). If u don't install updated active ios's and block updates with priiloader, you may find yourself in a position where u can't play certain games from the official disc channel. Won't impact backup loading which uses custom ios oc.

A very detailed answer, thank you very much. Question for the expert:

I currently only want to use USB Loader GX to load games from my external hard drive. I don't need any other functions, and I want to keep the current version, system menu 3.2u, and only cIOS 249 installed. The installation location using d2x is as follows:

Select cIOS <d2x-v11-beta3>

Select cIOS base <56>

Select cIOS slot <249>

Select cIOS revision <65535>

Can you meet my requirements?
