Hacking playing rar'd games

the R4 can play rar'd games? i know im probably late, but can someone shed some info on this for me? pros and cons... and can i still rar a trimmed game and still be able to play it? thanks

A rar file just holds the game inside. Use a program like WINRAR or 7ZIP to unzip them. R4 can't play rar files.

No rars, no zips, no 7z, only uncompressed roms.

I always unzip the ROMs before i play them.

I doubt you can play without unzipping.
Is there a free .Rar unzipper? I have to winzip trial, but it is going to run out soon, and i dont want it to. Any advice?

7ZIP is a nice freeware.

You can still unzip files, you just can't make new archives. I've used a trial that expired years ago just fine for that.

DSCompress is a homebrew which was on the GBAtemp news a day or two ago that can compress/extract your rom on your DS
