I don't know a whole lot about nas, but I can see a couple problems. you'd need to install the games, yes. however, the wii u will not format drives above 2TBs. you can't partition it. it will force you to format the entire drive as well. that's why we have to use separate drives for the wii u and the virtual wii. the virtual wii may (don't know for sure) be able to use nas, since games don't have to be installed, and I think it can read separate partitions.
