Hacking Play Online?

Hi I need a little clarification.
If i dump a Game I will get a 3ds file. But if I want play online I have to simply rename 3ds to 3dz, right?
But is it safe to play the game online with before mentioned method? I read something about private header. Is this header already included if I dump my file?

No matter how you slice it, if you're using a ROM cart online, you are always running a risk of ban. You should look into adding private headers, but even then there's risk.
